This Book.

Bryton bought this book, and we are in love with it! Jet Tila's recipes are easy to follow and sooo delicious. Soon to come in blog post: This recipe but with the changes we (Bryton) made as well as some suggestions for quicker, easier, and nearly as tasty. . Maddox, Jonas, and (someday) Colton, you will all want to remember this recipe. It was a winner.

Jonas Bakes Cakes

Jonas, you are such a wonderful baker. You can follow recipes perfectly, but creating your own and making something new is where you shine. For example, you took a basic vanilla cake recipe and turned it into this yummy fresh Raspberry cake for my birthday.

Tradition

Boys, I love this quote. We have been having a lot of conversations lately about culture and language, and this quote just stood out to me. Culture is rooted in tradition and tradition is rooted in so much of what we do with food. It is part of us and who we are.

My Favorite Birthday

You guys all surprised me on my 39th birthday by making me a version of my most favorite dish from one of my most favorite restaurants, YaHala, in SE Portland. This version of Artichoke Meshi that you guys made for me tasted just like the restaurant dish but was so much better because of the time, love, energy, and thought that went into it. Thank you my loves.
